Henson Consulting wrapped up its national awareness campaign for the Children's Heart Foundation - "BIKE 4 CHF" - at NBC's TODAY Show on July 20, 2010, reaching millions of people across America with the Children's Heart Foundation's message of the prevalence of congenital heart defects and the need of more funding for research.

The appearance marked the culminating moment of a 43-day media campaign, which included prominent print, online and broadcast coverage of the Children's Heart Foundation in major markets all across the country, including placements in Santa Monica, Las Vegas, Denver, Davenport, Chicago, South Bend, Columbus, Pittsburg, Philadelphia and New York City.
Matson, the first-ever Children's Heart Foundation "KID 4 CHF," met with CHF supporters as he traveled through 15 states, honoring local "KIDS 4 CHF" as he went. CHF defines "KIDS 4 CHF" as children who have been diagnosed with a CHD, or children who were diagnosed with a CHD at birth and have since passed away, who provide hope and inspiration to other kids and families facing a diagnosis.
When Matson stopped in a city, he invited CHD survivors and people who have lost a loved one to a heart defect to sign his white road bike, so they could "ride across country" with him. CHF supporters also rode their bikes alongside Matson in his first quarter-mile out of each town.
The Children's Heart Foundation is a national non-profit that funds the most promising research to learn more about (CHDs), the number-one birth defect in America.
