HC Rocks the Music Lounge at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago
As Chicago's Lollapalooza Music Festival once again took over the Windy City, HC collaborated with the BMF Media Group to present The Music Lounge - a three-day "VIP + Artist retreat" at Hard Rock Hotel Chicago. Over the past four years, The Music Lounge has established itself as the ultimate relaxation oasis for artists, industry executives, media and invited guests during Lollapalooza and has pioneered a medium allowing brands to come together, interact, and create buzz within the music and media industries.
Gearing up for Lollapalooza, HC reached out to local media and invited them to attend The Music Lounge to enjoy a weekend of gifting, massages, relaxation, complimentary food and drinks, and even a tattoo parlor (yes real ink!), as well as late night Rock The Vote parties, featuring special performances by artists including Band of Skulls, Black Gold, Chairlift, DJ MOMJEAN (Danny Masterson), Passion Pit, GZA, Santigold, Ra Ra Riot and many others. Through strategic media outreach surrounding The Music Lounge, Hard Rock Hotel Chicago weekend room packages and drink specials at the hotel's Base Bar, HC secured pre-festival coverage including features on NBC Chicago online, Crain's Chicago Business and Chicago radio station B96's morning Entertainment Report.
To kick off Lollapalooza weekend, HC collaborated with CBS 2 Chicago to broadcast a morning TV segment from Hard Rock Hotel Chicago unveiling the weekend happenings and showcasing a performance by Lollapalooza talent Chairlift, most notably known for accompanying the iPod Nano TV commercials.
During Lollapalooza, HC team members were busy credentialing media at The Music Lounge, mingling with guests and creating strategic buzz. Throughout the course of the weekend, The Music Lounge and Rock the Vote Late Nights (VIP after-parties which were also part of The Music Lounge) were attended by notable members of the media and famous faces like Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, actress Joy Bryant, "The City" star Erin Lucas and "Dancing With the Stars" beauty Stacy Keibler and the bands TV on the Radio and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, among others. HC generated local and national conversations, securing notable media hits including the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, MSN.com, USA Today's Pop Candy, People.com and Bizbash Chicago.
