HC Helps Drive Traffic to Hard Rock Hotel Chicago Website
In early 2009 Henson Consulting proactively brainstormed and created a “Recession Getaway” sweepstakes program to drive traffic to Hard Rock Hotel Chicago’s (HRHC) website and expand their mailing list. HC presented the idea to the HRHC and in late February and in March 2009 the “Recession Getaway” sweepstakes was launched.
HC helped HRHC announce the “Recession Getaway” sweepstakes which awarded one lucky person with a free two-night weekend escape. As part of the initiative, HC and HRHC encouraged consumers to register to win the weekend getaway by signing up at the newly created Hard Rock Hotel Chicago’s Recession Getaway website www.recessiongetaway.com.
The “Recession Getaway” included a two-night stay at Hard Rock Hotel Chicago with access to its state of the art work-out facility, a $100 gift certificate to China Grill and two 90 minute massages (valued at $360). Applicants had from March 1-31, 2009 to sign up for the “Recession Getaway.”
HC conducted extensive outreach to local and national print and online media and also created a Facebook group. Within the first hour of outreach, over 100 people had signed up for the “Recession Getaway.” By the end of March, nearly 500 people signed up for the sweepstakes.
