Mary Massey
Mary Massey joined Henson Consulting in September 2009, bringing more than three years of public relations, social media and consumer marketing experience. With a diverse background in consumer, digital and non-profit programs, Mary will be working on a variety of accounts including Little Black Dress Wines, Robbie Gould’s non-profit, The Goulden Touch Foundation, the Western Pistachio Association and Hard Rock Hotel Chicago.
Prior to joining HC, Mary worked at Weber Shandwick managing and executing public relations, social media and consumer marketing programs for a variety of clients, including Kentucky Fried Chicken, Mars Snack Foods, Inc., Oscar Mayer, Planters Peanuts, Allstate Insurance, and AmeriCares. Creating buzz for her clients by securing major media placements across a variety of outlets including Extra!, Life & Style Weekly, CNN Radio, CNBC.com, Chicago Tribune, FOX “Money for Breakfast,” Associated Press, ESPN’s “Mike & Mike Show,” and New York Daily News and executing various social media campaigns including Twitter and Facebook strategy platforms and activation, blogger outreach and relationship building programs, and social network building strategies.
Mary regularly attends industry conferences such as the 140tc Twitter Conference and BlogHer, continuing to build relationships with high profile bloggers and social media networks. Additionally, Mary serves on the Public Relations Society of America’s Chicago events committee and will be chairing the 2010 Skyline Awards Ceremony.
